2021 Fall Charter Yacht Show

We cannot wait to see everyone in person again. Our show dates for 2021 are Wednesday November 3rd to Saturday November 6th (until noon). Our host marina is Nanny Cay Resort and Marina.

BOATS AND CREWS IN THE BVI: Nanny Cay is offering a discounted rate of $1.50/ft per day effective between October 31st - November 8th. See details below in General Information for Yachts on Docks

CREWS ELSEWHERE: Our virtual shows were so successful we are considering offering a virtual component. Stay tuned for more information on this as details and logistics are yet to be worked out.

WHO CAN SIGN UP: The show is open to all term charter crewed yachts. You do not need to be CYS member to attend, although members do enjoy year round benefits as well as a discounted show.

BROKERS: We are excited BVI Travel Protocols permit brokers to attend the show in person. Even so, we recognize travelling is not back to "normal" and there will be brokers who are still uncertain about travelling outside of their home country. For that reason we have added a virtual component to the show as well as a physical one.

UPDATE!Recent changes to Travel Protocols means fully vaccinated visitors can bypass the Gateway Portal. You will still require a negative nasal RT-PCR test or negative approved rapid antigen test taken within 5 days of arrival. Proof of vaccination must be carried in person. Upon arrival, vaccinated travellers are subject to a rapid antigen test (results in 20 minutes). See more details below under Broker Registration.

VENDORS: Our business expo affords captains, chefs and brokers the once a year opportunity to meet, in person, representatives of local businesses which offer quality products and services that ensure guests have the experience of a lifetime. Our expo will take place on November 3rd. See more below.

As the Sailing Capital of the World our waters remain azure blue and an average temperature of 80 degrees farenheit. The trade winds blow predictably and steadily year round. So much has changed over the past 18 months but our destination has not.

**NOTE: CYS submits a list of all registered yachts and yacht details to the marina. You DO NOT need to call the marina to reserve a spot. Assigned spaces will be released approximately a week before the show.


Whilst dockage, electricity and water are NOT covered in your registration fees Nanny Cay is offering a discounted rate of $1.50/foot per day from October 31st to November 8th. Before entering the marina, be sure to call to confirm your approach. Once secured in your slip go to the marina office to sign in.

ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE dates on your profile are critical to placement on the docks. If you are uncertain, make your best guess and go back to change them at a later date. NOTE: Without dates your yacht will not show up on the list of Registered Yachts nor will we be notified of your registration.

IMPORTANT! If you are arriving from outside the BVI, DO NOT enter the marina without first clearing Customs and Immigration.

Whether participating in the virtual aspect of the show or on the dock, the prices are the same. Neither situation is superior or inferior to the other. In fact, they each have their own unique benefits.

  • CYS Member Yacht: $350 (show fee) + 2022 membership dues
  • CYS Associate Member Yacht: $400 + 2022 membership dues
  • Non Member Yacht: $900
  • New CYS Member Yacht: 2021 member dues (prorated to 6 months) + $350
  • New CYS Associate Member Yacht: 2021 member dues (prorated to 6 months) + $400
  • We are offering a 20% discount on show fees for registrants prior to September 1st. See table below.

Full CYS Membership is open to BVI based term charter boats with permanent crew aboard. Dues are based on maximum occupancy winter rates. (Not holiday rates)

CYS Associate Membership is available to term charter boats with permanent crew aboard, are foreign based but charter in BVI waters. Must meet Virgin Islands Shipping Registry requirements. Dues are based on maximum occupancy winter rates. (Not holiday rates).

Yacht Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellation must be in writing.
  • Administrative cancellation fee of $50
  • After October 1st non-refundable fee of $150.
  • Yachts cancelled after October 25th NO refund.

Broker Arrivals: Recent changes to BVI travel protocols no longer require fully vaccinated travellers to register for approval to enter the BVI. Whether arriving by land or sea, you can go directly to your port of entry. You will need to travel with the following:

  • Negative RT-PCR test or a negative rapid antigen test from an approved lab (home tests not acceptable)
  • Vaccination card
  • Travel insurance which covers quarantining
Prior to your arrival at your BVI port (West End or Airport) you will be expected to complete a form on the Hummingbird Portal. This notifies Health you require an antigen test. Information on the form will be used to return your results.

Broker Departures: Currently, the USVI requires all travellers from the BVI to have a negative PCR test or approved antigen test within 48 hours of arrival. One must register on the USVI travel portal and upload negative test results. We highly recommend you purchase a BinaxNOW test kit which were widely used by crews and charter guests throughout the season. They MUST be purchased online at eMed.com and an app downloaded prior to leaving the USA. This gives access to their proctoring services. Kits come in packets of 6. Create your own group and split the cost. Alternatively, we will be arranging testing services on site however the price of this will be approximately $120 pp.

New Brokers: In order, to get the most out of the charter yacht show we require ALL new brokers complete the New Broker Online Course presented by CYBA (Charter Yacht Broker Association).

The course is designed to give you a thorough knowledge of the yacht charter business, and provide a resource for you to refer back to for guidance as your career evolves. Are you former or soon-to-be former crew? Many of the same have completed the course ahead of you and admit they learnt much more than they thought they would.

REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE: regardless of the location of our show, our environmental consciousness remains the same. We discourage the distribution of disposable water bottles at our shows. Brokers are encouraged to pack their favourite reusable bottle and we will ensure it never runs dry.
